Keep track of who has paid

In NartPay OS you record each payment against its invoice, so every invoice shows when it is partly or fully paid, and the A/R aging report shows who still owes you. Your customers see their invoices in their own customer portal.

Payment receipts: common questions

What is a payment receipt?

A receipt confirms that you received a payment. It shows who paid, how much, when, how they paid and what the payment was for. Your customer keeps it as proof of payment.

What is the difference between a receipt and an invoice?

An invoice asks the customer to pay. A receipt is given after the payment and says the amount has been paid. When a customer pays an invoice, the receipt can mention that invoice number.

What should a receipt include?

Your business name and contact details, a receipt number, the payment date, the customer, what was bought, the amount paid including any sales tax, and the payment method. A check number or transaction ID helps both sides match the payment later.

Should I keep a copy?

Yes. Save the PDF or a printed copy with your records so your books match what your customers were given. Ask your tax professional how long you need to keep business records.
